Are you gifted for Faith?

| |

Has the Holy Spirit given you the ministry gift of Faith? It is to believe for the impossible.

IN THE BIBLE

1 Corinthians 12:9. to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit;

faith. The Greek word is πίστις (“pistis”). In this context, it does not mean faith in the sense of “I believe in God” or “come to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.” Rather, it means believing for the impossible.

1 Corinthians 13:2. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.

I am nothing. If we are not motivated by love, the mighty gift of faith will be worth nothing.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

That is above-and-beyond faith.

You will recall the centurion who asked Jesus to heal his child. The centurion said that Jesus didn’t even need to come to his house for the miracle to take place. How did Jesus reply? Jesus said he had never seen such faith, anywhere in Israel.

HOW ABOUT YOU?

Are you thrilled by the prospect of taking a step of faith? Do you find yourself meditating on the biblical narratives about miracles? Do the great heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11 inspire you? Have you seen touching answers to prayer?

If so, you may well have this gift!

Now it is time to try it out »
