The Book of Acts reveals the early days of the Christian movement. It calls us to be zealous for Jesus Christ. And it sets the stage for the writings of Paul.

SUMMARY
AUTHOR. Luke the Apostle.
DATE. The most widely accepted date is around 60-62 AD.
PURPOSE. The Acts of the Apostles achieves many outcomes. The most obvious is to record the growth of the gospel message from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the world.

MEMORIZE

Acts 2:1. Now when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:21. It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
Acts 3:6. But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
Acts 4:12. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Acts 4:13. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.
Acts 4:20. for we can’t help telling the things which we saw and heard.
Acts 5:29. But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.”
Acts 5:41. They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus’ name.
Acts 6:4. We will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word. (Our translation)
Acts 8:6. The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.
Acts 10:35. but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.
Acts 11:21. The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

Acts 13:52. The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 15:11. But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are.
Acts 16:9. A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.”
Acts 16:10. When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.
Acts 17:11. Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
Acts 19:6. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.
Acts 19:15. The evil spirit answered, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?”
Acts 19:20. So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty.
Acts 20:20. I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house,
Acts 20:24. But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
Acts 20:28. Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and ‡ God which he purchased with his own blood.
Acts 20:32. Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up, and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Acts 21:13. Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 23:11. The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Cheer up, Paul, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must testify also at Rome.”
Acts 24:16. So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man. (NIV 1984 translation)
