Contemplative Prayer as Longing

| |

The concept of Contemplative Prayer can be difficult to understand. But in Psalm 63, David provides a great description:

In Psalm 63, David says this:

God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.

David is a seeker. He hungers and thirsts for God. He longs for more and more of God. His flesh LONGS for God.

Do you experience a longing for God? If so, that is a great way to pray. Sit still, and long for God!
