Christians should not be argumentative.

Christians should not be the bad guys.

Fearless. Daring. Courageous.

 

Citizenship

To be a citizen is to be an official member of a people-group, together with duties and rights and privileges.

 

Commands

An order that you must follow, to the extent that the person who issues the command has authority over you.

 

Consequentialism

The philosophical view that an act is morally right, if and only if that act maximizes the good.

Paul forbade us from doing evil that good may result.

 

Complaining

A form of communication that expresses annoyance or unhappiness. Murmuring.

Christians are forbidden from being complainers.

 

Delight

Great pleasure.

 

Diet

The kind and amount of food and drink selected.

 

Discipleship

A series of decisions and actions that lead you to become more like Jesus Christ.

 

Diversity

Many different types people being included in the Christian movement.

 

Evil

Morally bad. Cause ruin, injury, pain.

Christians should not be evildoers. They should not cooperate with evil.

 

Fasting

To fast is to abstain from eating. And possibly drinking. Or to follow a restricted diet.

 

Fear

Biblically, to not act.

 

Future

The time that is yet to come.

What would God have us do?

 

Greed

A desire to possess more than what you need.

 

Healing

To be cured of illness.

 

Holiness

Holy people apply themselves, and all their actions, to God.

 

Homeless

To not live in a building.

 

Hope

To trust that a particular outcome will happen.

 

Hospitality

Welcoming visitors.

 

Joy

A feeling triggered by well-being, success, good fortune. Gaiety.

 

Light

God is light.

 

Minimalism

Finding freedom by owning fewer possessions.

 

Miracles

An outcome that defies rational explanation, and so is considered to be supernatural in origin.

 

Money

A medium of exchange.

 

Pilgrimmage

A journey to a sacred place.

 

Plans

An intent for the future.

 

Poor People

Someone who lacks the financial resources and essentials for a certain standard of living.

 

Power of God

God is all-powerful.

 

Presence

Being nearby in an active way.

 

Racism

Believing that some humans are superior to others based on race or ethnicity.

 

Seeking

Desiring the LORD God.

 

Servant

One who puts the needs of others ahead of the needs of self.

 

Sex

A gift of God.

 

Solidarity

Building unity by shared interests, objectives, standards, and sympathies.

 

Support

Freely giving money to people who teach the faith.

 

Stranger

An outsider. One who is neither a friend nor an acquaintance.

 

Strength

The LORD God can make us strong.

 

Suffering

The bearing of pain, inconvenience, loss.

 

Thankfulness

A feeling of appreciation for another’s kindness.

 

Tithing

Giving ten percent of your income to charitable causes.

 

Thinking

Conscious cognitive processes that can happen independently of sensory stimulation.

 

Trust

Confidence in another.

 

Truth

Being in accord with fact or reality.

 

Unity

Harmony between dissimilar individuals or groups.
