Lavishly giving to poor people

| | |

Godly people give money to the poor. They are gracious and generous to the poor, as we learn in Psalm 112.

The Bible calls us to be lavishly generous to poor people:

Psalm 112:9Lavishly he gives to the poor; his righteousness shall endure forever; his horn shall be exalted in honor.

Do you give to the poor lavishly? The Old Testament people do. They are marked by their generosity to the poor.

When we live a life of lavish generosity to the poor, our “horn will be exalted.” That is a metaphor from the animal world. It means might and power.

It is a great promise, and it is conditional. It are conditional based on our being generous to poor people.

Do you want to grow in your spirit life? Go be lavishly generous to poor people!
